As evidence for my working very hard on my exhibition (18th November 2008 NG Gallery Chippendale) I am posting here a photo of the little callous that has developed on my thumb as a result of cutting much plastic with scissors.
ouchy! all the hard work will pay off i am sure. i walked into a filing cabinet drawer yesterday and i think chipped my shin. the dent to my ego was the worst, as it happened in the waiting room! can't you wear a band aid, or a tiny fluffy cushion?
Very very busy Fiona! I've started to keep track on the time it takes me to make these babies. So far 22 hours and a bit is the record. It's going to be torture to see them go (if they go). Tiny fluffy cushion sounds wonderful, and extremely cute, but would probably prevent the thumb from actually fitting in the circle of the scissor. No, I shall endure the pain as all tragic artists should.
Ouch! I know how that feels, I cut 20 ice-cream container knitting looms for a year three class. And ended up with tendinitis or something dreadfully sore and debilitating!!! I was unable to lift anything for days! Cutting plastic is harder that it looks!

oh birdies birdies hatching...22 hours is a short gestation in the general scheme of births I guess...
